The last 27 books of the Bible are called the New Testament. 21 of those books are called Epistles or letters. They were written for the instruction of believers in Jesus, the Christ.
James letter gives the practical steps that believers must walk in if they are truly saved. True faith produces faithful works. “Without works,” James thunders, “Faith is dead!” Subject after subject is addressed, each requiring obedience to the faith—commitment to the truth. James' purpose is to come alongside any brother who strays from the truth and turn him back to it! He exhorts each and every believer to do the same for one another! In order to turn a sinner from the error of his way, the “turner” must know the Truth!
